All items purchased directly from lcgiroux.com are digital e-books or audio books. They are sold and delivered through the PayHip platform. They will arrive via email and can be downloaded from that email. You will be asked to set up, give Payhip your email address when you purchase so your purchases can be sent to you. This will also create an account on PayHip so that you can re-download your purchases should you need to. Also, one advantage of buying direct from me is that you then own a copy of that work. On Amazon, for all its ease of use, you don’t. You have only purchased a license to view that work, and they could rescind that license whenever they wanted.

Reading directly purchased books on your Kindle

Kindle is the 800lb. gorilla when it comes to e-readers, and Amazon isn’t thrilled if you aren’t buying through them. That said, you can, and maybe even should, considering some of the shenanigans they have been doing with licensing. So how do you get your newly purchased LC Giroux hotness on your Kindle? It is actually really easy! When you set up your Kindle account, Amazon gave you a personal email address you can send documents to. Seriously, all kinds of file types. Or, because I can never find my email address, you can go to this site: https://www.amazon.com/sendtokindle and drop your newly downloaded .epub there and bang! it will be part of your Kindle library. Super simple! Because I don’t want you struggling to read my books!

Return Information

If you buy something directly from lcgiroux.com, then we, you and I, have a relationship. Yeah, I’m kind of into insta-love like that! But what happens if you buy something and you (le Gasp!) don’t love it? Hey it happens. Sometimes you think you are going to love the pink and yellow polka dot dress and then you don’t. The short answer is contact me and I’ll refund your money. It will get done through PayHip to the email address you bought the work through. I’ll do everything I can to make it as seamless as possible because I’m a big believer in that good customer service only really shows up when something goes wrong. If it is a case of the book just not being to your liking, I’ll want to know why. Not to question your judgement, but so that I can write books that appeal to my audience, because any good relationship is about communication.
